The diagnostic CT criteria for pseudomyxoma peritonei are scalloping of the visceral surfaces (particularly the liver), septated ascites or ascites with attenuation slightly higher than that of water, and hypoattenuating peritoneal implants that may cause extrinsic pressure on the bowel loops.
