History:
•1838, Morehead – assoc. of liver and brain abscess
• 1904, Kartulis – demon. E. Histolytica in brain abscess
•1944, Craig – described amoebic brain abscess


•Primary amoebic meningoencephalitis(PAM)
–Acute amoebic meningoencephalitis (AAM)
–Granulomatous amoebic encephalitis (GAE)
